A warm welcome to my website.  I hope you find something to entertain and amuse you, and that you become a regular and valued visitor to my little corner of the sprawling World Wide Web as I strive to develop my literary career.

William J. Benning is the pen name of an author who lives and works in south-west Scotland. Benning is the author of the published sci-fi, action adventure novels of "The First Admiral Series" and also the thriller series "The Morgenstern Papers".

As an author I strive to produce consistent, good quality, exciting, action and adventure stories without having to resort to graphic sexual description and bad language.  I hope that my work becomes accessible to everyone who likes a good read.

As my literary projects develop, I will leave free sample chapters of my work for you to enjoy (in PDF format) and also to comment upon.

Benning does not hold with the depiction of graphic sexual content or description in his novels and will strenuously avoid the use of foul language, swearing and profanity in his work.  At some point in the future, the author may diversify into producing more adult-themed material.  These future projects will not, however, be undertaken under the Benning pen-name.

As you will probably have noticed, I am not the most proficient web designer in the world and will apologise if this site is not as professional looking as those of other authors.  The site isn't quite finished yet, so if the links don't work or the pages are blank or there are spelling mistakes, please bear with me !
